L4 Plate Armour
PLATE ARMOUR (10/19/2019)
The assignment is to create a leading Hero or Anti-Hero character, male or female, of any popular playable race from traditional Dungeons and Dragons, in a full suit of Medieval Plate Armour.
This character should complement your dragon and creature design, to be compatible with a role-playing game in a classic High Fantasy Setting.
Include a helmet, and if helmet complete obscures the face, then draw a face at the same scale separately alongside the character.
Each piece of armor should be constructed in a way to be readily identifiable to the set by incorporating intaglio, embossing, enamel painting, and the inclusion of any design motifs such as animals, shapes, and patterns that are abstractly representative of the character.
Deliverables:
- 1 render of a complete suit of Medieval Combat Plate Armor (Not Tournament Armour for Jousting), Include 1 Front View, 1 Rear View of a full suit.
- Basic Color
- 1 Helmet Design
- 1 Render of Character without Helmet
(Can add a breakout render of character with or without a helmet for this requirement
- 1 Melee Weapon (Short Sword, Long Sword, Mace, Flail, Battle Axe, Morning Star, Horseman's Pick, Pernach)
Formatting:
- 1 8.5x11 inch paper at 300DPI, Horizontal or Verticle Alignment
- Include, Name, Date, Class
Exceptions:
With Permission, if you already have a really well-developed portfolio character that is not human, at teachers' discretion, it is possible to create a Plate Armour suit for a non-traditional character.
